Free webinars
Curlews are caught in the crossfire of many of the conservation debates in the UK including: predator control, forestry, and agricultural practices. These topics can be complex and emotive and therefore at times difficult to discuss openly.
In our free webinar series, Curlew Action is working to address these topics by inviting expert speakers to present on their area of expertise, and to answer questions from the audience.
Our upcoming webinars are listed below. All our webinars are recorded and uploaded to our YouTube channel.

Monday 11th May - 6:30 - 7:30pm
Join us to hear from two conservationists about the challenges and opportunities in the world of curlew conservation.
Curlews are among the UK’s most recognisable and well-loved birds, but sadly their numbers are falling fast. The main problem is that too few chicks are making it to adulthood – but the reasons behind that are complex. As ground-nesting birds, Curlews are especially vulnerable to the changing pressures shaping our countryside today, including intensive farming, predation, habitat loss and climate change.
In this follow-up to our Curlew Conservation: An Overview webinar, we'll hear from both a local and a national Curlew conservation project. The presentations will be followed by a live Q&A chaired by Ryan Burrell (Curlew Recovery Partnership).

Members of the Curlew Action team regularly give talks about Curlew conservation and wider natural history education. You can watch our conservation webinar series, 'Conservation: lessons from the Curlew'. All recordings and summaries can be found here.
If you would like a Curlew Action team member to give a talk to a school, group or organisation please get in touch! Likewise, if you are looking to give your own Curlew talk and would like some resources.
