In 2024 we ran a competition for people to design a sign encouraging people to keep a respectful distance from wading birds in winter, which can suffer from repeated disturbance during such a critical time of year for energy intake and re-fuelling in cold conditions and before and after long migrations. We received lots of wonderful, creative entries and chose two winners as a result!
